This week we had the privilege during our Year 10 Assembly to welcome two former students to discuss their education here at the academy and beyond.

Lauren Aspinall - School Teacher at a local Primary School

Ryan Murphy - Lieutenant in the Royal Navy

They both spoke about their experiences of revising for GCSEs and the importance of always striving to achieve the best you can.  They discussed how school has impacted on their further education and professional careers.  It was clear to see the love they have for their jobs and the importance of education was a clear inspiration to our students who were heard afterwards saying 

"We should have that every week" & "I now want to be a Primary School Teacher".

We were extremely proud to see these former students again and to hear how successful they have been. It was clear to see the appreciation the role the academy had on their lives.
