A-Level Results Success for Students

17.08.2012

Once again congratulations to all The Sutton Academy students who have improved the quality of their A Level Results for the third year running.

The majority of our students have achieved the grades they require to progress to the university of their choice.

A broad range of subjects have been chosen, including traditional courses such as Chemistry, Biology and English Literature, as well as a selection of subjects revealing the diversity of our students, such as Football, Business and Finance, Theatre Performance, Film Studies and Sports Coaching. We also have a number of students opting to inspire future generations of students by going on to study teaching at university.

Bobbie Brussels and Rachel Roberts both begin their degrees to become Qualified Teachers next month. Rachel will be studying to become a Secondary Teacher of English, while Bobbie will be training to teach Primary School pupils.

Well done to our dance and performance stars Jenny Lamb, Amy Bromilow and Gemma Mangan who achieved the equivalent of 5 A*s, and 3 As between them. All three of the students are going on to study Dance-related degrees at university this September.

Our rising football star Luke Coulson is also celebrating achieving top grades in his Business Studies. Luke has worked extremely hard during the last two years to balance his time between his studies and his contract with a professional football club. His success is thoroughly deserved and we are sure he will make a big impact across the pond at the University of Michigan in the United States where he has gained a football scholarship.
