Horse Riding

On Wednesday 29th June, a group of excited Year 7 pupils went to Bold Heath Equestrian Centre for an hour’s riding lesson.

Most had never ridden before and looked on with apprehension as a group of well behaved ponies was led out to greet us…….followed by three huge horses for myself, Mr Sykes and Miss Tickle!

Each person was matched up with a suitable mount and was shown how to get on and hold the reins, before walking in single file around the arena. Once everyone was happy in walk, we progressed to trotting and some even cantered (intentionally and unintentionally!).
Everyone did extremely well and made fantastic progress – a massive “well done” to all! - Mrs E. Dutton
