I'm A Scientist Get Me Out of Here!

Before the Spring break, 16 Year 10 students and 30 Year 8 students took part in a science event called I’m a Scientist, Get me out of Here!

It is an online event where students get to engage and interact with real scientists. It’s an X Factor-style competition between five scientists who compete for a prize of £500, where the students vote for the scientist they want to get the money. The students submitted questions which the scientists answered by the next day.

The students also took part in a live online MSN-style chats with the scientists, where they could ask questions, learn more about the scientists, and let scientists know their opinions. Elisha Bridge 8THN said “I have learnt a lot of new things from I’m a Scientist and I would recommend it to other pupils as it is a different way of learning and finding out things for yourself.”
