A new campaign
19.03.2012A new campaign is running in St.Helens to raise awareness about Domestic Violence and abusive relationships with young people.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage young people to recognise early abusive behaviours in relationships, so that they are aware that domestic violence rarely starts with physical abuse, and often escalates from controlling behaviour.
The campaign was designed by students at the University of Bolton which adds an important extra element to the campaign, that it was designed by young people for young people.
St.Helens Council is working in partnership with Merseyside Police, Helena Housing, Riverside Housing and St.Helens Council Youth Services as part of the campaign.
