New look
01.08.2010We have now made the final decision on The Sutton Academy’s uniforms for Years 7 to 11. As you can see, the combination of black and purple has created a very smart and fashionable design.
We developed the uniform following several workshops with staff and students. In these sessions they told us how they thought The Sutton Academy branding could be translated into a practical uniform that everyone will want to wear and be proud of.
Students have already been measured for the branded items of the uniform, which includes a blazer, jumper, tie and two sports shirts, which will be supplied by the Academy. Parents and carers of current students will not have to pay for these items. The branded items will be available for collection from the Academy in August – further information with collection dates will follow.
Parents will only need to buy core uniform items; for the boys these items include black trousers, white collared shirts and black PE shorts, and for the girls, black trousers or box-pleated skirts, white collared blouses and black PE shorts.
We will be working with Sixth Form students over the coming weeks to help finalise the Sixth Form uniform. Initial feedback suggests that T-shirts and sweaters are a popular choice.
