Y9 enjoy day out to Alton Towers
10.05.2012On Friday 4 May, staff and students in Year 9 made the journey for
a fun packed day out to Alton Towers.
With a severe weather warning being reported for the midlands, we were lucky enough to escape any downpours until the end of the day. Although, the Rapids, Ripsaw and Log Flume managed to soak both the students and staff, in particular Mr Hughes who looked as though he had just been in the shower.
For some, the trip to Alton Towers was their first ever visit, and they managed to make the most of all the big rides by going on them a few times. With queuing times around 20 minutes for most of the big rides the wait was definitely worth it.
This year saw a couple of new attractions being added to the park, Ice Age 4D and Nemesis Sub-Terra. The new Nemesis ride was not as good as everyone expected, but the Ice Age 4D experience was a big hit!! (especially with the staff).
A great day was had by all and the students once again were all very well behaved. A huge thank you to staff who organised the day.
