Why do we fall in love? What causes racism? How do we learn? How does the brain work? What makes you you? These are some of the questions students will now be able to investigate in two new courses that started in September. GCSE Psychology and A level Sociology both look at why people behave the way they do – both as individuals and as members of society. These exam-based courses are very popular nationally and fit well with many other subjects.

Are you curious about what is happening in the world? Do you have opinions and like a good debate? Do you know your Labour from your Conservative and your European Union from your United Nations? Students who say yes to the above will have found an ideal course for them in A-Level Politics. This is a well-liked and successful subject in other schools and is now an option for the Sutton Academy Year 12 students as from September. If you are a Year 11 student who likes to keep up with what is happening all around you, then see Mrs Bowyer for more information about this course
