On Thursday 13 July, students and staff took part in a day full of exciting, sporting events.

In the morning students competed in various track and field events such as long jump, triple jump, javelin, 800m, discus and putting the shot to gain points for their team.

With the weather on our side, and the sun shining, it made for a fantastic afternoon with the whole academy out enjoying the track events. A festival was also held for everyone to get involved in an event of their choice including WildCard Boxing Ring, Roller Skating, Penalty Shoot Out, Commando Joe's Assault Course plus many more.

Students and staff had an amazing time with something for everyone. The day ended with the staff relay race which always attracts deafening support from the students, as they enjoy seeing their teachers competing against each other. The PE department were the eventual winners!
