On Thursday 21 April, we had some very interesting visitors from Fishers Mobile Farm, who are based in Charnock Richard set up their farm at the academy for the morning.

It was a glorious morning to introduce our students to a range of farm animals in a safe, well organised environment including Helga the micro pig and Burt the calf who were all here to help our BTEC Animal Care students collect practical evidence for their coursework.  

Both students and staff were allowed to wander amongst the pens whilst asking questions to the staff about each of the animals.  

Thank you to Fishers for bringing the farm to us.
