Year 8 student shines at Rowing Championships

Year 8 student competes in National Youth Rowing Championships in London.
On Friday 20 March, year 8 student Reuben travelled to London with All Aboard Youth Rowing to compete in the National Youth Rowing Championships, marking a major milestone in his sporting journey.
Qualifying for the national competition alone was a huge achievement, but Reuben went on to deliver an outstanding performance on the day. Competing against the very best young rowers from across the country, he finished an impressive 39th out of 130 boys, placing him firmly among the top performers nationwide.
In addition to his individual success, Reuben also took part in a relay event, where he was teamed up with boys he had never trained with before. Despite the challenge, he adapted quickly and performed exceptionally well, demonstrating not only his rowing ability but also his teamwork and resilience under pressure.
Everyone involved is incredibly proud of what Reuben has achieved. He represented All Aboard Youth Rowing and the academy with skill, determination and professionalism, and his success at a national level is a testament to his hard work and commitment.
This competition is an exciting step forward in Reuben’s sporting career, and there is great anticipation about what the future holds as he continues to develop and progress in youth rowing.
