Geography students enjoy rewarding trip.
The Geography trip to the Bay of Naples was an enjoyable and memorable experience for 35 students from Years 9, 10 and 13, combining valuable GCSE and A-Level learning with exciting cultural experiences and activities.
They climbed Mount Vesuvius, where reaching the summit gave them a real sense of the power of volcanoes. Visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum brought history to life, helping students imagine what life was like before the eruption.
The group also explored the beautiful coastal towns of Amalfi, Sorrento, and Positano, enjoying the scenery and traditional gelato!
A visit to a local farm, where students made cheese and pizza, was a highlight and gave a taste of local culture. Exploring Naples Underground was also fascinating, showing how the tunnels were used as shelters during World War II.
Overall, the trip was a rewarding experience that helped students connect their classroom learning to Geography in the real world.
