Thatto Heath Crusaders Secure Treble as Sutton Students Help Make History
A huge congratulations to seven of our students who have played a key role in an outstanding season for Thatto Heath Crusaders Girls Under 14s, helping the team complete an incredible treble-winning campaign.
Students Matilda D (Year 9), Jessie H (Year 9), Aaliyah P (Year 10), Libby A (Year 10), Ava B (Year 10), Betty B (Year 10) and Lyla S (Year 11) were all part of the squad that once again rose to the occasion, battling through difficult conditions to secure another impressive victory and bring home the cup.
The team's remarkable achievements this season include:
- League Leaders Shield Winners
- Premier Division Champions
- Cup Champions
Their success is made even more special by an extraordinary record. The team has now completed two consecutive seasons undefeated, collecting silverware in both campaigns and establishing themselves as one of the most successful girls' rugby league teams in the region.
This achievement is a testament to the players' dedication, talent, resilience and teamwork. Balancing their commitments on the rugby field with their studies at The Sutton Academy, these students have demonstrated the hard work and determination required to perform at the highest level.
We are incredibly proud of Matilda, Jessie, Aaliyah, Libby, Ava, Betty and Lyla for their contribution to this historic success and look forward to following their sporting journeys in the future.
Congratulations to all of the players, coaches, volunteers and families involved in Thatto Heath Crusaders' fantastic achievement.
What a team. What a season. What an incredible accomplishment.
