Celebrating Young Carers

On Friday 13 March, the Academy proudly recognised and celebrated the incredible contribution made by its young carers as part of this year’s Young Carers Day. The national theme, “Fair Futures for Young Carers,” emphasises the importance of ensuring that every young carer can access the same opportunities to learn, develop and thrive as their peers.

To mark the occasion, a special lunchtime event was held, offering young carers a relaxed space to come together, chat with friends and enjoy pizza. The gathering provided a well‑deserved break and a chance to acknowledge the resilience and dedication shown by these students in balancing their education with significant responsibilities at home.

The Academy expressed its admiration for every young carer, highlighting their strength and commitment. Their efforts continue to make a profound impact within both their families and the school community.
