Year 10 Football Team Show Grit in St Helens Plate Final

Our Year 10 Football Team put in a spirited and determined performance on Tuesday 21 April, as they competed in the St Helens Plate Final against De La Salle at Ruskin Drive.

In a closely contested and hard‑fought match, the team narrowly missed out on the trophy, losing 2–1 after an impressive display of football. Despite the result, the players showed outstanding resilience, teamwork and commitment, matching their opponents throughout and battling until the final whistle.

Reaching the final is a significant achievement in itself, and the way the team represented the academy was a credit to everyone involved. The players should be extremely proud of their efforts and performances across the competition.
