Celebrating our Ofsted Inspection Outcome

The Sutton Academy is delighted to share the outcome of its recent Ofsted inspection, highlighting the academy's continued commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience for all students.

The inspection recognised the academy's strengths across several key areas, awarding 'Strong' gradings for:

• Curriculum & Teaching
• Inclusion
• Personal Development & Wellbeing

The academy also received 'Expected' gradings for:

• Achievement
• Attendance & Behaviour
• Leadership & Governance
• Post-16 Provision

In addition, Safeguarding was judged as 'Met', reflecting the academy's unwavering commitment to ensuring students are safe, supported and able to thrive.

Inspectors praised the academy's high-quality teaching, highlighting the ambitious curriculum and the dedication of staff in helping students achieve their full potential. The report also commended the school's inclusive approach, recognising the strong support provided to vulnerable students and those who require additional assistance.

A particular strength identified by inspectors was the academy's focus on personal development and wellbeing, with effective pastoral support helping students to feel valued, confident and prepared for life beyond school.

The report also acknowledged the positive culture across the academy, noting the kindness, respect and positive attitudes demonstrated by students each day. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of students, staff, parents and carers in creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
