In memory of Mr Sykes, who was a much-loved member of staff, we will be hosting a 'Rock n Run' event at the academy.

This event will take place on Tuesday 27 June on the running track and will include a live band in the centre-pitch playing some of Mr Sykes' favourite rock anthems.

We challenge all participants to try to either walk, jog or run as many laps of the track as they can during a 45-minute music set; where they can sing along to some classic rock anthems too!

We would like to encourage as many students and staff as possible to participate in this event to celebrate Mr Sykes' life and to raise some much-needed funds for a charity close to his heart.

The cost to enter this event will be £7.00 which will include an academy 'Rock n Run 2023’ t-shirt, with all profits going to charity.

Payments need to be made on ParentPay before Thursday 15 June. T-shirts will be distributed to all participants prior to the event.
