The Sutton Academy House System

Five Houses. One Community.

At The Sutton Academy, every student and member of staff belongs to one of our five Houses: Air, Water, Earth, Fire, or Sun.

Our House System is designed to create a strong sense of belonging, encourage participation, celebrate success, and develop leadership opportunities for all students. Through healthy competition and shared experiences, the House System helps build a positive culture where every student can thrive.

Our Vision

The House System exists to:

  • Develop a strong sense of identity, belonging and pride.
  • Build positive relationships across year groups.
  • Encourage participation in school life.
  • Celebrate achievement in all its forms.
  • Promote leadership and student voice.
  • Support attendance, reading and positive behaviour.
  • Create a culture of aspiration, teamwork and community.
