Year 9s Shine in DOT ART Competition

Year 9 show off their artistic skills!

We are beaming with pride as three of our Year 9 students have been shortlisted in the prestigious DOT ART Schools competition. The competition, known for celebrating creativity and talent amongst young artists, has recognised the outstanding work of Libby S, Caden S, and Finley T.

Their exceptional pieces have earned them a spot in the esteemed Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool—an achievement that highlights their dedication and artistic prowess.

Now, as the competition enters its next phase, the public has the opportunity to participate by voting for their favourite artwork. This crucial step will determine which piece will represent the academy against other schools in Merseyside. A panel of judges will then select the ultimate winner.

The academy urges everyone to take just five minutes to browse through the entries and cast their vote. It's not only a chance to support these talented students, but also an opportunity to appreciate the wealth of creativity within our academy community.

Mrs McBirney, Curriculum Leader of Art & Design expressed immense pride in the students' achievements and encouraged everyone to participate in the voting process. "We are bursting with pride as always," she remarked.
