As an academy we aim to comply with the public sector equality duty in the Equality Act 2010 and the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.
The policy below details how we are continuously working to:
- eliminate discrimination (see the Equality Act 2010)
- advance equality of opportunity - between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
- consult and involve those affected by inequality, in the decisions we take to promote equality and eliminate discrimination (affected people include parents, students, staff and members of the local community)
