We're delighted to share the outcome of The Sutton Academy's recent Ofsted inspection. The academy received three 'Strong' gradings for: Curriculum & Teaching Inclusion Personal Development & Wellbeing Alongside 'Expected' gradings in Achievement, Attendance & Behaviour, Leadership & Governance, and Post-16 Provision, with Safeguarding judged as 'Met'. Inspectors praised the academy's high-quality teaching, inclusive support for vulnerable students, strong pastoral care, and the kindness, respect and positive attitudes shown by our students every day. Congratulations to Year 8 student Alicja B, who has been named a winner in the Young Writers Stranger Sagas Competition! Alicja's outstanding entry was selected from more than 27,000 submissions, an incredible achievement that showcases her creativity and storytelling talent. As part of her success, Alicja received a trophy and a £100 Amazon voucher. Judge Mark Grist praised her work, saying: "Alicja, I loved your concept of waking up in different bodies, the narrator having to immediately adapt to their new surroundings. The slow creep of the host's emotions is effective and creepy, but then the ending takes the horror up even further, leaving so many questions. I want to read more!" We are incredibly proud of Alicja and her fantastic achievement. Well done! #StudentSuccess #YoungWriters #CreativeWriting

With the warm weather continuing, we'll be handing out ice lollies and frozen treats at lunchtime to help keep everyone cool and refreshed throughout the day. We're taking steps to ensure students remain comfortable in the heat and encouraging them to stay hydrated and make use of shaded areas where possible.
