At The Sutton Academy, the wellbeing of our students, parents, and carers is at the heart of everything we do. This page brings together trusted resources, guidance, and support to help you look after both your child’s mental health and your own.
Below, you’ll find links to organisations offering advice, practical tools, and confidential support whenever you need it.

For adults 

  • Action for Happiness has developed a coping calendar with 30 steps to help you ‘keep calm, stay wise and be kind.’
  • St Helens Wellbeing - St Helens Wellbeing service makes it easier to access a wide range of healthy living and wellbeing support through a ’one stop shop’. 

For children

  • Headspace Kids: Meditation for children. For now, there are five themes for kids to explore: Calm; Focus; Kindness; Sleep; Wake up
  • Kooth: Free, safe, and anonymous online counseling and community support for young people (10-25).
  • YoungMinds: Offers practical tips, advice, and resources on managing emotions, mental health, and finding support.
  • Childline: Provides confidential support via webchat, email, or phone for any issue, 24/7.
  • Every Mind Matters (NHS): Offers expert advice and simple, actionable tips to look after mental wellbeing.
  • Health For Teens: A comprehensive site covering all aspects of physical and mental health for teenagers.
